SPFX Competition Rules Heat

Competitors: One Artist per entry Models may NOT assist with anything Hair (head), face and neck are the only things that will be judged. Please make sure that the safety of your model is your first consideration. The Artist is responsible for providing his or her own models for the heat There is a $50.00 non-refundable registration fee for the 2016 BodyFX Special Effects Competition. Artists are Allowed:
  • Airbrush
  • Brush and sponge
  • Gemstones
  • Glitter
  • False eyelashes, application is authorized only during the competition
  • Wigs, Headpieces and false hair
  • Feathers
  • Stencils
  • Contact lenses may be inserted prior to competition
  • Prosthetics (these are provided on the day) may be used but must be painted during competition.
The use of all Special Effects material is necessary in this competition. All techniques may be used Not Allowed: Make up or hair work of any kind may not be applied prior to the start of the competition. Anything not on the above list may not be used and could result in loss of points or disqualification. contact JULIAN on 021354737 if you need to clarify anything. Competitors must supply all necessary equipment and products including paints, brushes, water buckets and any other tools and supplies needed to achieve your designs. BODYFX WILL BE PROVIDING SPECIFIC PROSTHETICS AND OTHER SPFX TO USE. Only professional make-up/paint products made specifically for the purpose of body painting will be allowed, and skin safe adhesives/removers approved for skin. Acrylics and other commercial paints will not be permitted. All Painting must be done in designated areas. Photos:  All artists and models must be available after the competition for picture taking. All artists and models must sign release upon registration. BodyFX New Zealand Ltd has the right to publish and use the images for promotional and marketing purposes. Any infraction or violation of the competition rules will be subject to point reduction or disqualification at the discretion of the judges and/or competition committee.
